The bus journey was long and comfortable, they  started early in the morning and reached destination in the late afternoon or evening travelling an average distance of 450 Km per day. In between they stopped for lunch.

They stayed at Kangma, Lazi and Dzongba the accomodation was typical Chinese and reached Darchen the base camp for Kailash parikrama. They could not visit Asthapath but straightaway proceeded to parikrama of Kailash from Darchen.
