முதல் நாள் கிரிவலம்

சூரியன் சந்திரன் அக்கினி ஆகிய மூன்று கண்களையுடைய தியாகராஜர், நீலகண்டன் மாதொரு பாகர் சிவபெருமான் நித்ய வாசம் செய்யும் திருக்கயிலாய் மலையில், கோவில் எதுவும் கிடையாது மலையே எம்பெருமான். மானசீகமாக சிவ குடும்பத்தை நாம் அந்த மலையின்கண் கண்டு தரிசனம் செய்ய வேண்டும். அந்த புண்ணிய மலையை நாம் கிரிவலம் மட்டும் வர முடியும். கிரிவலப் பாதை 54 கி. மீ தூரம், மொத்தம் மூன்று நாட்கள் ஆகும் கிரி வலம் செய்து முடிக்க. திருக்கயிலாய யாத்திரையின் அதிக உயரமான இடமான அன்னை மலைமகள், மலையரசன் பொற்பாவை கௌரியின் ஸ்தலமான டோல்மா கணவாயை கிரி வலத்தின் இரண்டாம் நாள் தரிசனம் செய்கின்றோம்.

Mount Kailash is the abode of Lord Shiva, He resides int his mountain , as such there is no temple as the mountain itself is considered as Lord Himself. Yatris normally carry out the circumambulation of this Holy mountain. This is called as parikrama in sanskrit and as Kora in tibet. The circumfrence of the mountain is 51 Km, Tibetian's do their Kora on a single day . but it takes three days for us as the highest point on the whole yatra Dolma pass which is the palace of Mother Parvati at an altitude of 22000ft is to be crossed.

யாத்திரிகளின் சுமைகளை சுமந்து செல்ல யாக் என்னும் மிருகம் பயன்படுத்தப்படுகின்றது. ஒரு சிலர் கிரி வலத்தின் போது இந்த யாக்கின் பயணம் செய்கின்றனர். யாக்குகளை விட மட்டக்குதிரைகள் சிறந்தவை. ஏனென்றால் ஒருவரே பத்து யாக்குகளை கட்டுப்படுத்துகின்றார், அது பாட்டுக்கு செக்கு மாடு போல சென்று கொண்டிருக்கும். ஆனால் ஒவ்வொரு குதிரையுடனும் ஒருவர் வருவார் ஆகவே குதிரைகளை பயன்படுத்துவது நல்லது.

As already discussed Yak is the beast of burden of this region. The yak is used for transportation of luggage of the yatris during the parikarama. Some yatris who cannot walk, use yak for parikrama also. But it is better to use ponies instead of yak. One handler controls yak and the animal is also not easily controllable. But only one handler handles a pony so it is better to use ponies for parikarama.

திருக்கயிலாய மலையின் பனி ஆறுகளிலிருந்து நான்கு பெரிய ஆறுகள் தொடங்கி நான்கு திசைகளிலும் ஒடி ஆசிய கண்டத்தின் பல் வேறு நாடுகளையும் செழிப்பாக வைக்க உதவுகின்றன. பிரம்மபுத்திரா, சிந்து , கர்னாலி. சட்லஜ் ஆறுகள் திருக்கயிலாயத்தில்தான் உற்பத்தி ஆகின்றன. நாம் முதல் நாள் கிரிவலம் செய்யும் போது லா-சூ என்னும் இந்த ஆற்றங்கரையின் கரையை ஒட்டியே நாம் கிரி வலம் செய்கின்றோம். இந்த் ஆறு தான் பின்னர் சிந்து நதியாக இந்தியா மற்றும் பாகிஸ்தான் நாடுகள் வழியாக பாய்ந்து அரபிக் கடலில் கலக்கின்றது.

Four mighty rivers originate from the Kailash ranges and irrigate the great plains of Asian countries, they are Indus, Brahmaputra, Sutlej and Karnali. On the first day of the parikrama we trek along the bank of La-chu river which is Indus in India and Pakistan. One Mumbai yatri whom we met during the yatra told that if we trek along the farther bank of La-chu we will get a better view of Mount Kailash , but only problem being only crossing the river.

திருக்கயிலாய கிரிவலத்தின் போது குதிரையில் செல்ல விரும்புவர்களுக்கு குதிரைகள் குலுக்கள் முறையில் ஒதுக்கப்படுகின்றது. திபெத்திய கிராமத்தின் தலைவர் இந்த குலுக்களை நடத்துகின்றார். ஒரு யாத்திரி தன்னுடைய குதிரையை இங்கே தேர்ந்தெடுக்கின்றார்.

Those who use ponies for Kailsh parikrama, the ponies are allotted by lot the head of the village normally conducts the lot. Here one yatri is trying his luck.

இவ்வளவு கடினமான யாத்திரையை அன்பர்கள் மேற்கொள்வதன் காரணம் அந்த கருணாமூர்த்தியின் தரிசனம் பெறுவதற்காகத்தானே? அந்த பெரும் பேறு பெற்றதற்காக அந்த ஆதி தம்பதிகளுக்கு தங்கள் நன்றியைப் பகரும் வகையில் ஒன்றாக கூடி நின்று உலக நன்மைக்காக பிரார்த்தனை செய்யும் யாத்திரிகள். நாம் யாருடையா இல்லத்திற்கு அவர்கள் அழைக்காமல் செல்ல முடியுமா? முடியாது அல்லவா, அது போலவே அந்த சிவசக்தியின் அருள் என்னும் அழைப்பு இல்லாமல் நாம் அவர்களின் இல்லமான திருக்கயிலாயம் என்னும் தேவ பூமியைக் காண முடியாது என்பதை மனதில் கொள்ள வேண்டும்.

It is always an ecstacy to get the darshan of Holy Lord Shiva, it is because for this same reason the yatris take this difficult journey in the inhospitable terrain braving all the hardshis and it is natural to thank the Lord for having this wonderful oppurtunity to be in His abode. It is believed only Shivasakthi decides who can visit their abode and enjoy their hospitality, For this great favour the yatris thank the Lord and Mother with prayers. Here we see the yatris standing at the feet of the Lord and offering prayers for the welfare of whole humankind.

இதுவரை நாம் கடந்த பாதை யமனுடைய ஆளுகைக்கு உட்பட்டது இனி மேல் நாம் செல்லப்போகும் பூமி சிவனுடைய இராச்சியம் என்று உணர்த்தும் வகையில் யமதுவாரம் தெற்கு முகத்தின் காலடியில் உள்ளது. இதில் நுழைந்து வெளியே வந்து சிவபெருமானை தரிசித்தால் பின் யமபயம் கிடையாது. யமதுவாரம் வரை நாம் வண்டிகளில் வர முடியும் இதற்கு மேல் நடைப்பயணம்தான்.

Yamadwar or the gate of Yama ( God of death) is situated at the feet of the lord. We start our parikrama from here, those who enter into the gate and have the darshan of Lord Shiva gets rid of the fear of death. After this it is the Land of the Lord and only the lucky few get a chance to enter into this land.

திபெத்தியர்களின் கொடிக் கம்பத்தின் முன்னர் நிற்பவர் திரு கயிலை பாலா. இவர் முதலில் 2007ம் வருடம் முதல் தடவை திருக்கயிலாய யாத்திரையை மேற்கொண்டார். இந்த வருடம் வெளி கிரிவலம், உள் கிரிவலம் மற்றும் நந்தி கிரிவலம் மூன்றையும் அவர் அருளால் முடித்தார். இவருடைய 2009 வருட யாத்திரையின் படங்களைத்தான் இப்பதிவில் கண்டு களிக்கின்றீர்கள் அன்பர்களே.

Day 09 Monday 3^rd August 2009 - Drive from Darchen to Tarboche (5 km) trek to Dirapuk (4800m) Over Night at Camp.

Mini puja at north face of Mount Kailash: Our first day of trekking around Kailash begins at Tarpuche. As we make our way along the route we pass numerous chortens as well as the sky burial site of the 84 Mahasiddas. We will also have wonderful views of cascading creeks, streaming water falls and the mighty west face of Kailash. We will pass the Chukku Gompa and 5 hrs later arrive at the Dirapuk Gompa where we will set up camp for the night. Total hiking for the day wilt be 15 km 7 hrs
