இந்த வருட (2015) இந்திய அரசின் யாத்திரைக்கான அறிவிப்பு வெளியாகிவிட்டது. இந்த வருடம் சிக்கிம் மாநிலத்தில் உள்ள நாது லா கணவாய் வழியாகவும் ஒரு பாதை துவக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இவ்வருடம் இவ்வழியாக கூடுதலாக 250 யாத்திரிகள் ( ஒரு குழுவில் 50 யாத்திரிகள், மொத்தம் ஐந்து குழுக்கள்) இதில் நடை பயணம் இருக்காது பேருந்து மூலம் பயணம் செய்யலாம். ஆனால் யாத்திரை நாட்கள் இன்னும் 23 நாட்களாகவே உள்ளது. லிபு லே கணவாய் வழியாக செல்லும் போது 25 நாட்கள் ஆகும் ஆனால் இவ்வழியில் நடைப்பயணம் அதிகம். நாது லா வழியாக செல்லும் போது கட்டணம் சுமார் 1.7 இலட்சம் ஆகின்றது. இரண்டு வழியிலும் செல்வதற்கான விண்ணப்பிக்கும் படிவம் ஒன்றுதான். கணணி மூலமாக யாத்திரிகள் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்படுவர். அந்தந்த வழிக்குரிய கட்டணத்தை செலுத்தவேண்டும். அதிக விவரங்களை இங்கு சென்றால் காணலாம் http://kmy.gov.in
Who is Eligible?
An Indian citizen, holding a valid Indian passport and aged between 18 and 70 years as on 01 January 2015, with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 27 or less, who is physically fit and medically healthy, is eligible for undertaking the Yatra for religious purpose.
An applicant should not suffer from medical conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, heart disease, epilepsy, etc. The selected applicant is required to undergo and qualify comprehensive medical examinations conducted by the Delhi Heart and Lung Institute (DHLI) and the ITBP Base Hospital in New Delhi.
Foreigners: Those who hold foreign nationalities are not eligible to apply for the Yatra. PIO and OCI card holders are, thus, ineligible.
Reactions to altitude trekking: Additional medical test to ascertain reactions to altitude trekking will be conducted by ITBP during the course of the Yatra at Gunji for the Yatra through Lipulekh Pass, and at Sherathang for the Yatra through Nathu La. A Yatri who is found medically unfit at this stage will not be permitted to continue the Yatra and will forfeit all charges levied earlier.
Competent Medical Authority: Findings and recommendations of the Delhi Heart and Lung Institute and the ITBP medical personnel both in Delhi and outside will be final and binding. No other medical certificates or test reports are accepted to qualify for the Yatra.
A selected applicant, when found medically unfit, will not be allowed to proceed on the Yatra, and will forfeit the non-refundable deposit and the amount paid for medical examinations.

Body Mass Index: A person’s fitness for the Yatra depends on many factors of his/her health. An otherwise fit person should try to lower the BMI level to 27 or less to add to his/her fitness.

Liaison Officer: Only a serving Government officer is eligible to be appointed as Liaison Officer. A person who has been on the Yatra as a Liaison Officer or as a Yatri in the past will not be considered for selection as Liaison Officer.
Selection Process
Draw through a fair computerized system: Yatris will be selected and assigned to different routes and batches by the Ministry of External Affairs through a fair computer-generated random gender-balanced selection process. A route and a batch, once allocated to a Yatri through the computerized process, will not normally be changed.
At the application stage, two yatris may give an option to travel in the same batch. Efforts will be made to accommodate such requests as far as possible.
Confirmation of Participation: After the computerized draw of lots, each selected or wait-listed applicant will be required to confirm his/her participation by crediting a non-refundable amount of Rs.5,000/- by specified deadline into designated bank accounts. The balance amount will be payable later.
Medical Tests in Delhi: Selected Yatris are required to assemble in New Delhi 3-4 days in advance of the Yatra to undergo thorough medical tests at the Delhi Heart and Lung Institute and the ITBP Base Hospital. Parameters of medical tests are decided by the ITBP Base Hospital, keeping the requirements of the Yatra in mind. Only those applicants who pass these tests are allowed to proceed on the Yatra.

- Incomplete applications will be rejected.
- Incorrect or false information in the application form will be ground for disqualification at any stage, including during the Yatra. All payments made earlier will, thus, be forfeited.
- Failure to pass the medical examinations in Delhi and en route will be ground for disqualification.
- A Yatri, disqualified on medical and/or other grounds in Delhi or outside, will forfeit the non-refundable deposit and other payments made earlier.
- The Yatra batches will leave on scheduled dates even if replacements called from the standby lists to fill any vacancies that may arise, are unable to join the group on time.
Important Documents after Selection: Yatris must ensure to bring following documents with them when they report in New Delhi for the Yatra after their selection:
- An ordinary Indian passport, valid for at least six months as on 01 September 2015.
- Indemnity Bond, executed on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.10, or as applicable locally, and authenticated by a First Class Magistrate or a Notary Public. Selected Yatris are required to sign this Indemnity Bond stating that they undertake the Yatra at their own risk.
- Undertaking for evacuation by helicopter in case of emergency.
- Consent Form for cremation of mortal remains on Chinese side in case of death there.
Intimation: Selected applicants will be informed about their inclusion in a particular batch soon after the computerized draw of lots by email and SMS.
Medical Authority: Yatris must qualify all prescribed medical tests by DHLI and ITBP. Findings and recommendations of qualified ITBP medical personnel are final and binding. No other medical reports are accepted to qualify for the Yatra.

No refunds: The medical charges are non-refundable. Applicants found medically unfit or disqualified for other reasons in Delhi or en route will not be allowed to proceed on the Yatra, and will forfeit the non-refundable deposit and other payments made earlier. Routes
Now, there are two routes to undertake the Yatra:
Route 1: Lipulekh Pass (Uttarakhand)
- 18 batches of 60 members each with total duration of about 25 days per batch.
- Estimated cost per person: Rs.1.5 Lakh.
Route 2: Nathu La (Sikkim)
- 5 batches of 50 members each with total duration of about 23 days per batch.
- Estimated cost per person: Rs.1.7 Lakh.

- To apply online, go to: http://kmy.gov.in The Yatra-2015 will be conducted between 08 June and 09 September through two different routes – Lipulekh Pass in Uttarakhand and Nathu La in Sikkim.
- Applicants are required to indicate their choice for both the routes in the order of their preferences.
- Applicants are also required to select a place as END-POINT to terminate their Yatra on return leg:
- Route-1 (Lipulekh): DHARCHULA or DELHI.

INDEMNITY BOND
WHEREAS the Government of India in consultation with the
Government of People's Republic of China has arranged pilgrimage of
Indian citizens to Kailash/Manasarovar.
WHEREAS the executant Shri/Smt./Km.___________________________________________ son/daughter/wife

________________________________ a citizen of India (hereinafter called heirs,
legal representative and assignees) has made an application for joining the
pilgrimage to Kailash-Manasarovar.
WHEREAS the applicant has agreed to abide by the terms
and conditions prescribed by the Government of India of his own free will,
voluntarily and without any coercion or pressure of any kind.
WHEREAS the rules prescribed by the Government of
India require an Indemnity Bond to be executed by the applicant.
THIS BOND WITNESSETH AS FOLLOWS
In
consideration of the President of India (hereinafter called the Government)
having agreed to assist in the arrangement for the pilgrimage of the applicant
to Kailash-Manasarovar the above-mentioned applicant agrees to abide by the
following conditions:
(1) That
the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) has recognised the Kailash
Manasarovar Yatra as a trekking expedition and it may involve high risk to the
person or property of the applicant caused by any natural calamity or due to
any other reason.
(2) That
the applicant is joining the aforesaid pilgrimage of his/her own free will and
on his/her own personal risk and consequences and undertakes to bear all
expenses for the pilgrimage.
(3) That
the applicant shall abide by the rules, regulations/term and conditions
prescribed by the Government of India and undertake to hold himself/herself
responsible for any breach or violation thereof.
(4) That
the applicant or his-her legal representative will not hold the Government of
India liable in any manner whatsoever in the event of any accident or any
untoward happening that may result in injury to the applicant or damage or loss
of property to the applicant of any nature due to any natural calamity or due
to any other reason whatsoever.
(5) That
the applicant or his/her legal representative will not claim from the
Government of India any damages in the event of any loss or damage to his/her
person or property including death.
(6) The
above-named applicant hereby further agrees that this Indemnity Bond shall
remain in full force and effect during the period of the aforesaid pilgrimage
and for a period of one year thereafter and that shall continue to be
enforceable till all the dues of the Government and all claims raised by the
Government under/or by virtue of the aforesaid undertaking have been fully paid
and its claims satisfied or discharged or till the Government certifies that
the rules and regulations have been fully and properly carried out by the
applicant and accordingly discharges the Indemnity Bond.
(7) That
the above named applicant hereby further agrees with the Government that he/she
shall not be allowed to proceed further and shall have to return from the
pilgrimage if the Government is satisfied that he/she is unfit to proceed
further at any time or stage of the pilgrimage.
The above named applicant further agrees that in the event of his/her
not being allowed to proceed and having to return from the pilgrimage, no money
deposited by the aforesaid applicant for the purpose of pilgrimage will be
refunded to him/her.
(8) The
above named applicant hereby agree that he / she will abide by the scheduled
route or scheduled halts as issued by the Government of India, and that he /she
or his/her legal representative will not hold the Government of India liable in
any manner whatsoever in the event, if he /she do not conform to the scheduled
route or scheduled halts as provided by the Government.
(9) That
the above named applicant further agrees to refund the entire sum in foreign
exchange which was sanctioned for the pilgrimage to the Government of India's
Reserve Bank, if he/she does not proceed or return from the pilgrimage at any
stage of the pilgrimage.
(10) That
the above named applicant further agrees with the Government that the
Government shall have the fullest authority without his/her consent and without
affecting in any manner his/her obligations hereunder to vary any of the rules
and regulations according to the circumstances from time to time and to
forebear or enforce any of the terms and conditions of the said agreement and
he/she shall not be relieved from his/her liability by reason of any such
variation.
(11) The
applicant undertakes that he/she will bear full responsibility for expenses on
emergency medical as well as emergency air evacuation, if the need arises
during the Yatra.
(12) This
Indemnity Bond will not be revoked by any change of circumstances.
(13) The
above named applicant lastly undertakes not to revoke this Indemnity Bond
during its currency except with the previous consent of the Government in
writing.
