Though Darchen has expanded with  more buildings due to influx of more Kailash  yatris,  it remained the same sleepy town as we have seen during our last yatra. Because of the cold weather  the life here is lackadaisical  and still we could see many snooker tables outside the residences.  Now good  tar roads  connects Darchen with Takalkot and Zaidi. Mr. Suthar brought a statue of  Mahavishnu  for installation at Darchaen. His belief is that Manasarovar represents Brahma and Mt Kailash Shiva, it would be apt to install Maha Vishnu in Darchen which is in the middle. Our Chinese guide took us to a Buddhist Monastery where we installed Maha Vishnu and worshiped him. Later we returned to the guest house had our lunch and returned to Saga. As the guest houses provided on the Chinese side were not up to the expectations of our group members we decided to cut short one day of travel during our return journey. We talked to Shreshta tours  and they acceded to our request so we left for Saga that day itself immediately.
