VIEWS OF HOLY KAILASH - A PHOTO ALBUM # 8

In the next posting we will view the west face of the Lord.

This aspect is called TATPRUSH-who establishes decisiveness in man. This face is visible only from a distance signifying that best decisions in life are taken from a long term perspective.

View of Holy Kailash ( South face and East face) from Astapath, the place where first thirthangara attained nirvana. The closest point to south face.

VIEW OF HOLY KAILASH FROM DARCHEN BASE CAMP

Unlike the other three faces we don't get the darshan of east face alone, mostly with south face only. This is because of the extension of east face to Dolma pass which lies on the parikrama route. In the following photos we will find the east face as sun lit side.

Tomorrow we will see the east face of the Lord.

The south face is known as AGHOR- represents the destroyer, one who dissolves everything in the end at the time of dissolution.
