IMPORTANT INFORMATION

1. For the first time, the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi has generated online Application for Kailash Mansarover Yatra. You need to visit the website www.mea.gov.in
.in Click on Welcome. A new page will open.

On the right bottom side is highlighted the New Kailash Mansarover Yatra 2010.

Click on it. Another page will open.

Top most link is On Line Application generated.

All applicants have to fill up the form by complete all the required fields.

Then submit. You will get a registration number online.

Please make a note of this registration number which will be somewhat like KMY 0000 and four digits more.

2. Please do not be under the impression that once you get the registration number, you will be enrolled for the yatra and the lottery of the Ministry.

3. You have to fill up the application form which is printed hard copy, attach two photographs, attach the photocopy of the first and last page of your passport and finally attach a self addressed post card to it.

4. Do not forget to mention your registration number on the top of the application form.

5. Unless the Ministry will get the hard copy of your application along with the registration number, they will not include you in their lottery system.

6. So much so if you forget your registration number, there is a provision on their website to just enter your passport number and you will get your registration number (the same as the previous one) .

7. Applications received by the ministry without any registration number on them, will also have to undergo the same procedure. In other words the Officer who will get all the applications without registration number, he will feed the data on the computer, get your registration number, make a note of it on your application and then send the post card with the registration number.

9. All are requested to kindly make sure that you have mentioned the batch number required by you if any.

இந்த வருடம் வெளியுறவுத்துறை அமைச்சகம் விண்ணப்ப எண்ணை ஆன் லைன் மூலமாகப் பெற ஏற்பாடு செய்துள்ளனர். அந்த எண்ணைப் பெற்று விண்ணப்பத்துடன் புகைப்படம் மற்றும் பாஸ்போர்ட்டின் நகலுடன் வெளியுறவு அமைச்சகத்திற்க்கு அனுப்பி வைக்கவும்.

The Kailash Manasarovar Yatra is being organised by the Ministry of
External Affairs from end of May/early June to September 2010. The Yatra is
open to all Indian citizens above 18 years of age who wish to proceed to

Kailash-Manasarovar for religious purposes.

2. The duration of the Yatra will be 26 days. In addition, Yatris will need to

spend 4 days in New Delhi to obtain visas, undergo a comprehensive medical
examination and complete financial formalities.

3. In 2010 it is planned to send sixteen batches each consisting of a
maximum of 60 pilgrims. Batch schedules are as follows : Batch 1 : 29th May –
26th June, Batch 2 : 4th June - 02nd July, Batch 3 : 10th June - 8th July, Batch 4 :
16th June -14th July, Batch 5 : 22nd June – 20th July, Batch 6 : 28th June – 26th
July, Batch 7 : 04th July – 1st August, Batch 8 : 10th July – 7th August, Batch 9 :
16th July – 13th August, Batch 10 : 22nd July – 19th August, Batch 11 : 28th July
– 25th August, Batch 12 : 03rd August – 31st August, Batch 13 : 9th August – 6th
September, Batch 14 : 14th August – 12th September, Batch 15 : 21st August –
18th September, Batch 16 : 27th August – 24th September 2010.

4. Applicants should ensure that they possess an ORDINARY INDIAN
PASSPORT valid for more than six months as on September 1, 2010.

5. The total cost of the Yatra will include the following:
(a) Rs. 24,500/- (inclusive of Service Tax) to be paid to Kumaon Mandal
Vikas Nigam (KMVN), out of which Rs. 5,000/- is to be paid as a
non-refundable deposit when confirming participation in the Yatra,
and the balance amount on arrival in Delhi to begin the Yatra.
(b) Rs. 2,150/- to be paid to Delhi Heart and Lung Institute to cover
costs of medical examination / tests at Delhi. In case the applicant is
required by the medical authorities to undergo a further Pulmonary
Function Test (PFT), an additional Rs. 500/- would be charged for that
particular test from the concerned Yatri only. In case the applicant is
required to undergo a Stress Echo Test, an additional Rs. 2,500/-
would be charged for that particular test from the yatri concerned.
These charges are non-refundable even if the applicant is not able to
undertake the Yatra eventually due to disqualification on medical
grounds.
(c) US$ 700/- to be paid to the Chinese side.
(d) Expenditure on adequate equipment, clothing, food stores, porters,
baggage, ponies and other items required for the Yatra.

6. Yatra is extremely arduous (more so than the Vaishnodevi / Amarnath
routes), involves trekking at high altitudes upto 19,500 feet, under inhospitable
conditions including extreme cold and rugged terrain and may prove hazardous
for those who are not physically or medically fit. The Indian Mountaineering
Foundation has recognised the Kailash Manasarovar Yatra as a trekking
expedition. There is a considerable element of risk to life and property.
7. Please note that Government shall not be responsible in any manner for
any loss of life or injury to the person, or any loss or damage to the property of
the Yatris due to any natural calamity or due to any other reason. Pilgrims
undertake the Yatra at their own volition, cost, risk and consequences. KMVN
also provides insurance against accident during the Yatra for each Yatri through
United India Insurance Company Ltd. for an amount of Rs. Five lakhs.
Government shall not have any obligation to bring the mortal remains across the
border for cremation in the Indian side, in case of death on the Chinese side. All
yatris are, therefore, required to sign a Consent Form for cremation of mortal
remains on the Chinese side in case of death.

8. Applicants should be physically healthy, medically fit and should not
suffer from conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, heart
disease, epilepsy, etc. All applicants should have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of
27 or less to be eligible for the yatra. All selected applicants are required to
undergo a comprehensive medical examination conducted by DHLI/ITBP in
New Delhi. Applicants found medically unfit will not be allowed to proceed
on the Yatra, and will forfeit the non-refundable deposit paid to KMVN and
the amount paid for medical examination. Please note that no other
medical certificates or test reports will be accepted. A list of tests included in
the medical examination is given at Annex-A of this circular for reference.

9. A second medical test to ascertain reactions to altitude trekking will be
done by ITBP at Gunji, after 6 days of the Yatra, at a height of 3500 metres.
Those Yatris who are found medically unfit here will not be permitted to
continue the Yatra. The finding and the recommendations of the ITBP medical
personnel both in Delhi and Gunji will be final and binding. In the eventuality
of a Yatri being disqualified on medical grounds at Gunji, it will not be possible
to refund the charges levied by KMVN.

10. Complete applications in the prescribed format given below should be sent
to Under Secretary (China), China Registry (KMY), Room No. 255-A,
South Block, Ministry of External Affairs, and New Delhi-110011 so as to
reach on or before Tuesday, March 16, 2010. For acknowledgement of
receipt, please attach a self-addressed post card with the application.

11. The selection of Yatris will be done by Ministry of External Affairs
through a computer-generated random gender-balanced selection process.
Selected persons will be informed by speedpost about their inclusion in a
particular batch 3-4 weeks before their scheduled departure. Spouses will be
automatically selected (provided this fact is clearly indicated in the relevant
column of the application form) subject to clearing the medical test. Selected
applicants will be required to confirm their participation in a particular batch by
sending a non-refundable demand draft of Rs. 5,000/- in favour of KMVN to
Ministry of External Affairs by a specific deadline.

12. The following conditions may please be noted carefully:-
�� It is the individual’s responsibility to ensure that applications contain
accurate information and that they are complete in every detail
including date of birth.

�� Incomplete applications will be rejected.
�� Wrong information in the application form will be grounds for
disqualification, even after selection has been confirmed /Yatra has
begun. Total deposit paid to KMVN will be forfeited.
�� After receiving message announcing the preliminary selection,
confirmation that the selected Yatri can travel, should be received in
this Ministry before the stated deadline, otherwise it will be presumed
that the selected Yatri cannot travel, and he or she will be replaced
from the stand-by list.
�� Failure to pass the medical examination at Delhi and in Gunji will be
grounds for disqualification. Medical Certificates issued by any source
other than the ITBP doctors at Delhi and Gunji will not be accepted.
�� If a Yatri is disqualified on medical grounds at Delhi, he or she will
forfeit the non-refundable deposit paid to KMVN. If a Yatri is
disqualified on medical grounds at Gunji, he/she will forfeit the total
amount paid as Yatra fees to KMVN.
�� The Yatra groups will leave on the scheduled dates even if
replacements called from the standby lists to fill any vacancy that may
arise, is unable to join the group in time.

13. Without prejudice to the foregoing, all claims, disputes, differences shall
be subject to the jurisdiction of Courts in New Delhi only.

14. Details on the Yatra may also be seen at www.mea.gov.in. Facility of
online application generation is also available on this website till March 9,
2010. However, the application will be accepted only after the print-out of the
online application and declaration duly filled in and signed by the applicant,
along with two photographs and a copy of personal particulars page of passport
of the applicant are received at the Ministry of External Affairs on or before

March 16, 2010.

1. I understand that Kailash Manasarovar Yatra is a high altitude trekking
expedition under inhospitable conditions, which may involve serious risk to the
person or property of the Yatris. I am undertaking the Kailash Manasarovar
Yatra at my own volition, cost, risk and consequences.
2. I understand that my application will be rejected and not processed if
any column is not filled in or if it is incomplete in any other respect.
3. I understand that if I have given wrong information in my application,
this will be grounds for disqualification from the Yatra and for forfeiture of
deposit paid to Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN).
4. I understand that the decision of the ITBP medical authorities either in
Delhi or in Gunji is final and cannot be challenged, that in the event of my being
disqualified on medical grounds by the competent medical authorities in Delhi, I

at Gunji, I will forfeit the entire amount paid to KMVN as Yatra charges and I

security and discipline during the Yatra will be final and binding including any

participation, if I am unable to proceed on Yatra or to complete the Yatra for

These are some visuals of the spritual experiences of some of the yatris during the parikrama of Holy Kailash. Shri Kailai Bala has nicely tried to patray the same in picture.

திரு. கயிலை பாலாவுடன் யாத்திரை செய்த சில அன்பர்கள் அனுபவித்த தெய்வீக உணர்வுகள் இங்கே சித்திரமாக காட்டப்பட்டுள்ளன.

A yatri had the vision of Adi Guru Shri Dakshinamurthy during the darshan of the South face of the Lord.

During the parikarama the couple were blessed with the vision of the Shiva family ie Lord Shiva, Mother Parvati, Ganesh and Murugan.

கிரி வலம் வரும் போது இந்த தம்பதியினர் சிவ குடும்பத்தை தரிசனக் காட்சி காணும் பேறு பெற்றார்கள்.

மானசரோவர் கரையில் யாகம் நடத்திய போது அகம் மகிழ்ந்த தேவர் குழாம் யாக குண்டத்தின் மேலே நின்று யாத்திரிகளை ஆசீர்வாதம் செய்யும் அற்புத காட்சி ஒரு அன்பர் கண்களுக்கு தோன்றியது.

During the yagna on the banks of Holy Manasarovar one yatri had the divine vision of celestials blessing the yatris.

Do you see a Human face with eyes, nose and mouth . This face is formed of ice and is real and has been captured in photo.

ஐயனின் முகத்தை காண்கின்றீர்கள். இரு கண்களும், நாசியும், வாயும் அப்படியே நம்மை மயக்குகின்றன.

மூன்று நாட்களில் திருக்கயிலாய கிரி வலம் முடித்தபின் யாத்திரிகள் மீண்டும் டார்ச்சன் முகாமை வந்து அடைகின்றனர். அங்கிருந்து அஷ்டபத் சென்று ஐயனின் தெற்கு முக தரிசனத்தை அருகில் இருந்தும் பெறலாம். பின் முகாமில் தங்கியவர்களுடன் சேர்ந்து அனைவரும் தங்கள் இல்லம் செல்ல தங்கள் பயணத்தை துவக்குகின்றனர் மிகுந்த ஆனந்தத்துடன்.

After the completion of three days of parikrama of Holy Kailash with great satisfaction the yatris return back to Darchen base camp. From there they cam travel upto Asthapath and have the close up view of the south face and Ganesh and Nandi. Then they start their return journey to their homes with the satisfaction of a good darshan of Holy Kailash and parikrama.

The group of yatris thank the Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati for a good darshan. May be they are praying that this kind darshan should remain etched in memory for ever and we shoukd get this gokden chance of having your darshan again and again.

மலையரசன் பொற்பாவைக்கும் மலையான் மருகனுக்கும் தங்கள் நன்றியை தெரிவிக்கும் யாத்திரிகள். இந்த அனுபவத்தை நாங்கள் என்றென்றும் மறக்க முடியாது. மறுபடியும் மறுபடியும் தங்கள் தரிசனம் கிட்டவேண்டும் என்று வேண்டி நிற்கின்றனரோ?

The view of Tibetian children playing merrily at the feet of the Lord and also on the banks of Holy Manasarovar. These are nomadic people and graze their yaks and make a living and they do not have any permanent settlement.

ஐயனின் காலடியிலும் மானசரோவர் கரையிலும் விளையாடி மகிழும் திபெத்திய குழந்தைகள். இந்த திபெத்திய மக்கள் தங்கள் யாக் களை மேய்த்துக் கொண்டு நாடோடியாக அலைகின்றனர்.

யாத்திரையை இனிமையாக முடித்து விட்டு டார்ச்செனிலிருந்து கிளம்பி மானசரோவர் கரையில் உள்ள ஹோரேவை அடைந்து மானசரோவர் கிரி வலத்தையும் முடிக்கின்றனர். பின் அங்கிருந்து கிளம்பி பர்யாங், சாகா, நைலாமு வழியாக காத்மாண்டுவை அடைந்து பின் தங்கள் தங்கள் இல்லம் திருகின்றனர்.

At the end of the yatra the yatris leave from Darchen drive to Hore at the banks of Holy Manasarovar and cpmplete the parikrama of Manasarovar also and return to Kathamandu via paryang, Saga and Nylam.

இரண்டாம் நாள் கடினமான கிரி வலத்தின் போது அதிகாலையில் ஐயனின் கதிர் ஒளி முகம் கண்டு களிக்கிறோம். பின்னர் சிவஸ்தலத்தை தாண்டி செங்குத்தான மலை ஏறி டோல்மா கணவாயை அடைந்து அங்கு பார்வதி தேவியை தரிசனம் செய்து கௌரி குள தரிசனமும் பெற்று கீழே செங்குத்தான மலையில் பின் இறங்கி ஜுடுல்புக(ஜாங்ஜெர்பூ) முகாமை அடைந்து தங்குகின்றோம்.

மலைமகள் உமைநங்கை தன் பாங்கிகளுடன் நீராடும் கௌரி குளம் டோல்மா கணவாயிலிருந்து சுமாத் 1 கி.மீ கீழே உள்ளது செங்குத்தான இறக்கம் அதுவும் இரண்டு மலைத்தொடர்களுக்கு நடுவில் அமைந்துள்ளது. ஆகவே வழுக்கும் கற்கள் நிறைந்த பாதையில் இறங்குவது அவ்வளவு உசிதமல்ல என்றாலும். அன்னையின் திருமேனி தழுவும் நீரை பருக இறங்கிய இரு அன்பர்கள்.

The descent to Gauri Kund from Dolma La is very steep as this is situated in between two mountain ranges chances are there that stones may fall , so it is advised not to get down to Gauri Kund. Still out of enthusiam some yatris reach Gauri kund and collect the water which is believed to have curing effects.

ஐயனை தரிசித்த ஆனந்தத்தில் இத்தனை நாட்களாக இந்த பாக்கியத்திற்காகத் தானே காத்திருந்தோம். இனிப் பிறவியில்லை என்ற ஆனந்தத்தில்

மாசில் வீணையும் மாலை மதியமும்
வீசு தென்றலும் வீங்கிள வேனிலும்
மூசு வெண்டறை பொய்கையும் போன்ற
ஈசன் எந்தையின் திருப்பாதக்கமலங்களில் வீழ்ந்து வணங்கும் அன்பர்கள்.

The second day of the kora is the most toughest part of the who;w yatra, the weather at Dolma is very fickle and the yatris havae to cross Dolma before noon. Also yatris are advised not to stay for long time at time at Dolma as this is the highest altitude in the whole yatra and oxygen is very less. Still the yatris take up the yatra willimgly and by the grace of the Lord almost everybody complete the yatra successfully. Only absolute faith is needed in Shivasakthi and they take care of you.

Day 11 Wednesday 5^th August 2009 – Trekfrom zhutulpuk to Tarchen and drive to Manasarovar Hor. Over Night at Guest House:

Trek to Tangsar Tangmar and a 3 hrs walk brings us to where the river emerges onto the Borkha plain and Our jeeps will be waiting to transport us to Darchen then to Manasarovar Hor. our camp will be at Lake Mansarovar. Time permit we will perform Homa/Siva puja at Lake Manasarovar.

இரண்டாம் நாள் கடினமான கிரி வலத்திற்குப்பின் மூன்றாம் நாள் கிரிவலம் மிகவும் சுலபமானது, சமமான பாதைதான் வரும் வழியில் மானசரோவர், இராக்ஷஸ் தால் ஏரிகளின் தரிசனம் கிடைக்கின்றது. டார்ர்ச்சனில் இருந்து சுமார் 3 கி, மீ தூரத்திற்க்கு முன் வரை வாகனங்கள் வருகின்றன. பின் டார்ச்சன் முகாமை அடைந்து. ஐயனின் தெற்கு முக தரிசனம் பெறுகின்றோம். தெற்கு முகத்தை மிக அருகில் இருந்து தரிசனம் செய்ய அஷ்டபத் செல்ல வேண்டும் அங்கு செல்லும் போது ஆத்ம லிங்க தரிசனம் கிட்டுகின்றது.

மார்கழி மாதம் தொடங்கி விட்டது. அதிகாலையில் எழுந்து மார்கழி நீராடி ஆதியும் அந்தமும் இல்லா அருட்பெருஞ்ஜோதியை, மாணிக்க வாசக சுவாமிகள் பாடிய திருவெம்பாவையைப் பாடி வணங்கும் தேவர்களின் அதிகாலை நேரம் முதலில் ஒரு திருவெம்பாவை ப் பாடல்.

Nandi is the first among all the servants of the Lord . He is also the mount of the Lord. He is present whereever is Lord is present. Here we have the darshan of the Nandi infront of the North face.

This is the only face of Kailash which we don't get to see from close quarters. This is the view when we trek towards Dolma.

மேலே உள்ள படம் டோல்மா கணவாய் செல்லும் வெளி கிரி வலத்தின் பாதையையும் உள் கிரி வலத்தின் பாதையும் காட்டுகின்றது. உள் கிரி வலத்தின் போது நாம் கிழக்கு முகத்தில் செங்குத்தான பகுதியில் ஏறி செல்ல வேண்டியிருக்கும். அநேகமாக திருக்கயிலை செல்லும் அனைவரும் வெளிகிரி வலம் வருகின்றனர். வெகு சிலருக்கு மட்டுமே உள் கிரி வலம் செல்லும் பாக்கியம் சித்திக்கின்றது. திருக்கயிலை பாலா அவர்கள் இந்த வருடம் வெளி கிரி வலம், உள் கிரி வலம் மற்றும் நந்தி வலம் மூன்றையும் அவரருளால் முடித்தார்.

The above picture shows two routes one the outer parikarama which normally all the yatris undertake, this passes thro Dolma pass. Very few yatris undertake the inner parikrama. As we have to climb the east face it is very tough and a very experienced guide is required . Sri Kailai Bala by the grace of Lord Shiva completed the outer parikrama, inner parikarama and the Nandi parikrama in 2009. We are now viewing his yatra of outer parikrama later we will the Great views of Inner parikrama also.

டோல்மா செல்லும் வழியில் உள்ள சிவஸ்தலம்

தேவ பூமியான திருக்கயிலாய மலையின் அன்னை பார்வதியின் ஸ்தலமான டோல்மா செல்லும் வழியில் சிவஸ்தலம் உள்ளது. இவ்விடத்தை கடப்பவர்கலை யமன் எடை போடுகிறான் என்பது ஐதீகம். இவ்விடத்தை கடக்கும் அன்பர்கள் தங்களுக்கு மிகவும் பிடித்த ஏதாவது ஒன்றை இங்கே தியாகம் செய்கின்றனர். அதாவது பாசத்தை அறுத்து பதியை அடைய வைராக்கியத்தை அதிகப்படுத்துகின்றனர்.

Before we reach Dolma pass we pass the Shiv Sthal, who ever crosses this Holy land is being estimated bt Lord of Death it is believed, You can find all sorts of things being strwn here that is whoever crossed this place leave something which they love the most which signifies growing up spritually.

டோல்மா கணவாயில் இருந்து செங்குத்தான மலைப்பகுதியை கடந்த உடன் நாம் சந்திக்கும் ஃபோலோங் பனி ஆறு.

ஐயனைக் கண்ட ஆனந்தத்தில் திளைக்கும் யாத்திரிகள். மலையான் மருகன் திருக்கயிலைநாதரை தரிசனம் செய்யும் அந்த ஆனந்தத்தை அவர்களின் முகத்தில் அப்படியே காணலாம்.

You can visualize the ecstacy on the face of the yatris on having the darshan of the Lord. It is simply undescribable you have experience it to unserstand the same. Every yatri undertake this arduous journey just for this Holy darshan.

இரண்டாம் நாள் கிரி வலம் மிகவும் முக்கியமானது அதே சமயம் கடினமானதும் கூட, ஏனென்றால் இன்று தான் இந்த யாத்திரையின் அதிக உயரமான டோல்மா கணவாயை நாம் கடக்கிறோம். மதியத்திற்கு முன்னர் டோல்மாவை கடந்து விட வேண்டும் என்பதால் இரண்டாம் நாள் கிரி வலத்தை எவ்வளவு சீக்கிரம் துவக்குகின்றதோ அவ்வளவு நல்லது என்பதால் காலை ஆறு மணிக்கே டேராபுக் முகாமை விட்டு கிளம்புகின்றோம். கிளம்பும் சமயம் ஆதவனின் கதிர்கள் ஐயனின் முகத்தில் நடத்தும் இந்திர ஜாலத்தை இப்பதிவில் காண்கின்றோம்.

The second day of the parikrama is the most important day at the same time it is one of the toughest days of the yatra. Because we have to cross the Dolma pass which is the highest point in the whole yatra. As the weather changes very rapidly at these latitude it is always better to cross Dolma before noon. So normally yatris leave Derapuk camp at the time of dawn. In this post we witness the wonderful site of sun's rays illuminating the North face of the Lord.

It's really mesmerizing how the hue changes with time. One should be really blessed to witness this wonderful sight. That also without cloud cover one is doubly blessed to see this great sight.

நிமிடத்திற்கு நிமிடம் அப்படியே நிறம் மாறும் அழகை எப்படி வர்ணிப்பது, முதலில் அருண நிறத்தில் இருக்கும் முகம் அப்படியே சிவப்பாகி பின்னர் மஞ்சள் நிறமாகி அப்படியே சுய நிறமான வெள்ளை நிறத்திற்கு மாறுவதைக் காண நிச்சயம் கொடுத்து வைத்திருக்க வேண்டும். மேக கூட்டம் இல்லாமல் அப்படியே நிர்மால்யமாக தரிசிப்பது சக்கரைப் பந்தலில் தேன் மழை பொழிந்தது போல இருந்தது.

வடக்கு முகமும் கிழக்கு முகத்தின் தொடர்ச்சியும்

திருக்கயிலாயம் ஒரு கோணத்தில் பார்த்தால் பிரம்மாண்ட சிவலிங்கம் போலவே காட்சியளிக்கும். இங்கே டோல்மா கணவாய் செல்லும் வழியில் கிழக்கு முகத்தின் தொடர்ச்சியைக் தரிசிக்கிறோம்.

We see the eastern extension when we trek to Dolma pass. In this view Mount kailash resembles a huge Sivalingam. The formless form of Lord Shiva which is worshipped in all the temples.

This is the view of the eastern face of the Lord. Like other faces we will not be able the have the darshan of this face from near because of the extension of the east face. There is a speciality in this photo that we are able to see the east face, Nandi and Ganesh Kund in this photograph.

In Tibet, they call it mother navel - you are suppose to stand your back facing the rock and place your finger on the rock, there is a specific hole marked in the rock and if your finger enters that spot you are born with less sin and if it does not then .............. I tried three time and I failed to get the right spot and Bimalji tried three times and all the time he was right on the spot. I presume that I must have been born with lot of karmas to resolve. ( These are the words of Shri Kailai Bala)

Dolma is the abode of Mother Parvati for Hindus, and for Buddhists it is their guardian deity Tara. Before reaching Dolma it is believed that Lord Yama ( God of Death) assesses tha yatri. Normally yatris leave some thing they love the most as an offer to Lord Shivasakthi. The real meaning is as you go up spritually we have to develop the habit of non inclusiveness.

இங்குள்ள ஒரு கல்லே பார்வதி தேவி. சிவ சக்தியினரின் கர்ப்பகிரகமாக டோல்மா கணவாய் நம்பப்படுகின்றது. ஆனால் இந்த கல்லை நாம் தொட்டு வணங்க முடியாது, மேலும் திபெத்தியர்களின் கொடிகளால் கர்ப்பகிரகம் மறைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்த கொடிகள் காற்றில் அசையும் போது அவை அமைதி, சகோதரத்துவம், மகிழ்ச்சி, அன்பு முதலிய உணர்ச்சிகளை பரப்புகின்றன என்பது ஐதீகம்.

Day 10 Tuesday 4^th August 2009 - Trek from Dirapuk to Zutulpuk Gompa (4790m) over -Night at Camp:

The hardest but the holiest day of the pilgrimage. We will cross through a rocky expanse dotted with stone. Cairns draped with the clothes offered by pilgrims as a spiritual sign of death. Gauri kund is one of the holiest sites to view/visit from the top. Further hiking brings us- to the accent up to Dolma-La pass (5630m). After a nice break at the top of the pass we will head down the steep trai1 to our eventual campsite at Zutul Puk Monastery (the cave of miracles where Milarepa meditated. Total hiking for the day will be 18 km 8 hrs.

கிரி வலம் செல்லும் போது முழுவதும் நடந்து செல்ல முடியாதவர்கள், மட்டக்குதிரையையோ அல்லது யாக் என்னும் பிராணியையோ பயன் படுத்தலாம். குதிரையை பயன் படுத்துபவர்களுக்கு குதிரைகள் குலுக்கள் முறையில் ஒதுக்கப்படுகின்றன. ஒரு குதிரையுடன் அதன் ஓட்டுநரும் வருவார் என்பதால், குதிரையில் செல்வது நல்லது.

For those who want to use ponies for parikrama of Holy Kailash the horse and it's handler are allotted by draw of lots. If you use Yak then one handler handles no of Yaks so better avoid using yak for parikrama.

Out of the 21 yatris only 5 engaged ponies on the 1st day and another 2 on the 2nd and 3rd day. 14 of us did the full 3 days parikrama by walking.

இவரது குழுவில் 21 யாத்திரிகளில் 14 பேர் நடந்தே கிரி வலத்தை முடித்தனர். முதல் நாள் 5 பேரும், இரண்டாம் நாள் மற்றிம் இரண்டு பேரும் குதிரையை பயன்படுத்தினர்.

சாமன்களை சுமந்து செல்ல சிலர் அங்குள்ள போர்ட்டர்களைப் பயன்படுத்துகின்ரனர். அங்குள்ள மக்களுக்கு ஒரு உதவியாக இருக்கும் என்பதால் தேவைப் படுகின்றதோ இல்லையோ போர்ட்டர்களை வாடகைக்கு அமர்த்திக் கொள்வது நல்லது.
