இந்த வருடம் லிபு கணவாய் வழியாக 10 குழுக்களும், நாதுலா கணவாய் வழியாக 10 குழுக்களும் செல்ல இருக்கின்றன. ஒவ்வொரு குழுவிலும் 50 யாத்திரிகள் வரை செல்ல முடியும் ஆகவே இவ்வருடம் ஒவ்வொரு வழியிலும் 500 பேராக மொத்தம் 1000 பேருக்கு இவ்வரிய வாய்ப்பு கிட்டிம்.

லிபு கணவாய் வழியாக செல்ல விழையும் அன்பர்களுக்கு செலவு சுமார் ரூ 2,09,000/- ஆகும் யாத்திரை நாட்கள் 22 நாட்கள் ஆகும். நடை பயணம் லிபு கணவாய் ஏற்றம், இறக்கம் மற்றும் திருக்கயிலாய கிரி வலம். நாதுலா கணவாய் வழியாக செல்லும் யாத்திரைக்கு ரூ. 3,31,000/- ஆகும். யாத்திரை நாட்கள் 21 நாட்கள் ஆகும். (சீனப்பகுதியில் குதிரை மற்றும் துணையாளர் கட்டணம் தனி. முதலில் புது டில்லியில் 4 நாட்கள் தங்கி, மருத்துவ பரிசோதணை மற்ற பணிகளுக்கு தங்க வேண்டி வரும்)

Launching of Kailash Manasarovar Yatra, 2026

Kailash Manasarovar Yatra organised by the Ministry of External Affairs in coordination with the Government of the People’s Republic of China is set to take place during June to August 2026. This year, 10 batches, each consisting of 50 Yatris, are scheduled to travel through Uttarakhand State crossing over at Lipulekh Pass and another 10 batches, each consisting of 50 Yatris, through Sikkim State crossing over at Nathu La Pass. The website kmy.gov.in has been opened for acceptance of applications. The Yatris will be selected from among applicants through a fair, computer-generated, random and gender-balanced selection process.

2. The entire process for KMY commencing from on-line application till selection of Yatris is a fully computerized process. Interested applicants may login by registering on the site and submit their applications online. Applicants do not need to send letters or fax to seek information. The feedback options on the website can be used for obtaining information, registering observations or making suggestions for improvement of the yatra.

3. Applicants can either select both routes indicating priority or select only one route. Last date for registration is 19 May 2026.

Kailash Manasarovar Yatra

Ministry of External Affairs organizes Kailash Manasarovar Yatra during June to August/September each year through two different routes - Lipulekh Pass (Uttarakhand),and Nathu La Pass (Sikkim). Kailash Manasarovar Yatra (KMY) is known for its religious value and cultural significance. It is undertaken by hundreds of people every year. Being significant to Hindus as the abode of Lord Shiva, it holds religious importance also for the Jains and the Buddhists. The KMY is open to eligible Indian citizens,holding valid Indian passports, who wish to proceed to Kailash-Manasarovar for religious purposes. Ministry of External Affairs does not provide any subsidy or financial assistance to Yatris. More details can be viewed by clicking on Advisory.

Who is Eligible

a. Must be citizen of India.
b. Possess an Indian passport valid for minimum 6 months as on 1st September of the current year.
c. Age should be minimum 18 and maximum 70 years as on 01 January of the current year.
d. Body Mass Index (BMI) of 25 or less.
e. Physically fit and medically healthy for undertaking the Yatra for religious purpose.
f Foreign nationals are not eligible to apply; OCI card holders are, thus, not eligible.

Applying for Kailash Manasarovar Yatra

Conditions for Application
(a) Applicant should possess an ordinary Indian passport valid for at least six months as on 01 September of the current year.
(b) It is the applicant’s responsibility to feed accurate information complete in every respect including name spellings,date of birth etc.
(c) Incorrect or false information, concealing any material facts in the application form will be ground for disqualification at any stage, including during the Yatra. All payments made earlier will, thus, be forfeited.
(d) Applicants are required to indicate their choice for both the routes in the order of their preferences.
(e) Applicants can also select a place as END-POINT to terminate their Yatra on return leg:
(i)Route-1 (Lipulekh): DHARCHULA or DELHI.
(ii)Route-2 (NathuLa): GANGTOK or DELHI.
(f) All fields in the application format are compulsory.

● Scanned copy of passport size photograph (in JPG format not exceeding 300 kb in size).
● Scanned copy of Passport (page containing photo & personal particulars) and last page containing family
details in <.pdf> format only not exceeding 500 kb in size.
● If applying with another person, also keep ready the above items(1 and 2) for the person.

After successful online registration of your application:
● Take a printout of the application form and keep with you for reference.
● You will receive SMS and e-mail after successful submission of the application.

Note : In a single user account maximum two registration form can be submitted if two people want to go together in a batch.

Who is Eligible

CONDITIONS:- Applicants may carefully note the following conditions before applying for the Yatra:

(a) Incomplete applications are liable to be rejected and will not be included in the computerized draw.
(b) Incorrect or false information in the application form will be ground for disqualification at any stage, including during the Yatra.
(c) It is the applicant's responsibility to feed accurate information,complete in every respect including name spellings, date of birth, etc.
(d) Should not suffer from medical conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, heart disease, epilepsy,etc.
(e) Selected applicant will need to undergo and qualify specified medical examinations conducted by the Delhi Heart and Lung Institute, and the ITBP Base Hospital in New Delhi for high altitude endurance
(f) Any Yatri found medically unfit for high altitude endurance at any stage will not be permitted to continue the Yatra. [Please see Medical Tests conducted by Delhi Heart & Lung Institute (DHLI)].
(g) Any Yatri disqualified on medical and/or other grounds at any stage of the Yatra will forfeit the Confirmation Amount and other payments made earlier.
(h) The Yatra batches will leave on scheduled dates even if any selected Yatri is unable to join the group as per scheduled itinerary.
(i) Applicants going for the first time would be accorded priority over those who have already been for the Yatra organized by the Ministry in any previous year.
(j) There would be a moratorium on applicants who have already been on this Yatra organized by this Ministry more than four times in previous years. The decision of the competent authority in this Ministry would be final, and no representation in this regard would be entertained.
(k) Applicants against whom any legal or executive sanction is in force, or which debars the person from travelling abroad would not be eligible to apply for the Yatra.

Ministry of External Affairs organizes this Yatra during June to September each year through two different routes - Lipulekh Pass (Uttarakhand),and Nathu La Pass (Sikkim). Kailash Manasarovar Yatra (KMY) is known for its religious value, cultural significance, physical beauty and thrilling nature. It is undertaken by hundreds of people every year. Holding significance for Hindus as the abode of Lord Shiva, it holds religious importance also for the Jains and the Buddhists. It is open to eligible Indian citizens,holding valid Indian passports, who wish to proceed to Kailash-Manasarovar for religious purposes. The Kailash Manasarovar Yatra has been recognized by the Indian Mountaineering Foundation as a trekking expedition. Ministry of External Affairs does not provide any subsidy or financial assistance to Yatris.

Yatris need to spend 3 or 4 days in Delhi for preparations and medical tests before starting the Yatra.The Delhi Government arranges boarding and lodging facilities for stay in Delhi. Yatris are also at liberty to make their own arrangements for boarding and lodging in Delhi.

Advisory:The Yatra involves trekking at high altitudes of up to 19,500 feet, under inhospitable conditions, including extreme cold and rugged terrain, and may prove hazardous for those who are not physically and medically fit. The Government of India shall not be responsible in any manner for any loss of life or injury to a Yatri, or any loss or damage to property of a Yatri due to any natural calamity or due to any other reason. Pilgrims undertake the Yatra purely at their own volition, cost, risk and consequences. In case of death across the border, the Government shall not have any obligation to bring the mortal remains of any pilgrim for cremation to the Indian side. All Yatris are, therefore, required to sign a Consent Form for cremation of mortal remains on the Chinese side in case of death.

Legal: Without prejudice to the contents of the KMY website, all claims, disputes and differences shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Delhi only.

The applicant may do some basic checks to determine their state of health and fitness before registering on line. However, this will not be valid for the medical tests to be conducted by DHLI and ITBP in Delhi before the Yatra

(g) The Yatra batches will leave on scheduled dates even if any selected Yatri is unable to join the group as per scheduled itinerary.
(h) Applicants going for the first time would be accorded priority over those who have already been for the Yatra organized by the Ministry in any previous year.
(i) There would be a moratorium on applicants who have already been on this Yatra organized by this Ministry more than four times in previous years. The decision of the competent authority in this Ministry would be final, and no representation in this regard would be entertained.

Selection Process

1.Draw of lots through a fair computerized system :Yatris will be selected and assigned to different routes and batches by the Ministry of External Affairs through a fair computer-generated, random, gender-balanced selection process. At the application stage, two yatris may give the option to travel together in the same batch. Efforts will be made to accommodate such requests as far as possible.

2.Intimation::Selected applicants will be informed by automated email / SMS about their selection soon after the computerized draw of lots.

CONDITIONS

3.A route and a batch- once allocated to a Yatri through the computerized process, will not normally be changed. Yatris may register on line for change of batch to be considered on first come basis, subject to availability in a preferred batch or route. Selected and confirmed applicants would be given preference, wait listed applicants would be considered subsequently. The decision of the Ministry in this matter would be final.

4.Confirmation of Participation:After the computerized draw of lots, each selected applicant will be required to confirm participation by crediting a non-refundable amount of Rs.5,000/- into designated bank accounts of the Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN) or, the Sikkim Tourism Development Corporation (STDC) before the cut-off date. The balance amount will be payable later as detailed in the 'Fees and Expenditure for Yatris'. CLICK HERE

5.If payment is not received by KMVN / STDC before the cut-off date, such Yatri will be automatically removed from the batch, and request from other Yatris would be considered as mentioned in para 3 above.

6.Yatri must report on the scheduled date & time at places mentioned in the itinerary for the batch. Failure to do so would result in cancellation of their names from that batch.

7.Important Documents: Selected and confirmed Yatris must ensure to bring following documents with them when they arrive in New Delhi for the Yatra.

(i)Ordinary Indian passport,valid for at least six months as on 01 September of the current year.
(ii)Photograph - color, passport size (6 copies).
(iii) Indemnity Bond executed on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.100, or as applicable locally, and authenticated by a First Class Magistrate, or Notary Public.
(iv)Undertaking for evacuation by helicopter in case of emergency.
(v)Consent Form for cremation of mortal remains on Chinese side in case of death there.

8.If any of the documents mentioned in para 7 above are not submitted,or found deficient in text, or any other aspect, the Yatri may not be allowed to proceed for the Yatra. The decision of the Ministry in this matter would be final, and no representation would be entertained in this regard.
